Our Facilities

The facilities at Monton Methodist Church reflect our standing within the local community. We feel that everyone should be able to use our premises, regardless of age, race or ability.

The building is wheelchair friendly and has a disabled toilet with handrails and emergency call bell. The Church itself is fitted with a loop system for those who are hard of hearing to provide added clarity for all. Large print hymn books are available and the Service is recorded onto CD each week.

There is a baby changing unit and we have child sized chairs for our younger visitors. Our large and modern kitchen is well equipped and hot water is available for heating babies’ bottles.

Other facilities which make our Church welcoming for all include a bookstall where books and cards can be purchased and a Church Library with books and videos/DVD’s for all age groups.

Our premises are well cared for, with a structured programme of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment, most of which is undertaken during the summertime. Recent years have seen the Church and Hall repainted, electrical lighting updated and the creation of extra storage. A new fire alarm system has been installed.

Please let us know if there are any more ways in which we can make our
Church accessible to all.
