| At our Church, we feel that our
facilities reflect our standing within the local community.
We feel that everyone should be able to use our Church, regardless
of age, race or disability.
Monton Methodist Church is wheelchair friendly and has a
disabled toilet with handrails and emergency call bell. The
Church itself is fitted with a loop system for those who are
hard of hearing and there is a modern sound system, fitted
in 2003 and added to in 2006, for added clarity for all. A loop system is due to be installed in the Hall shortly. Large print hymn books
are available and the Service is recorded onto CD each week.
There is a baby changing unit with disposable liners and
nappy bags and we have child sized chairs for our younger
visitors. Our large and modern kitchen is well equipped and
hot water is available for heating baby’s bottles.
Other facilities which make our Church welcoming for all
include a bookstall where books and cards can be purchased
and a Church Library with books for all age groups.
We believe our premises to be well maintained, with a structured
programme of repairs, maintenance and refurbishment, most
of which is undertaken during summertime. Recent years have
seen the Church and Hall being repainted, electrical lighting
updated and the creation of extra storage. A new fire alarm system is due to be installed during 2008.
Please let us know if there are any more ways in which we
can make our Church accessible to all.
